The new version of the TABNET system, used by the Municipal Health Department (SMS), has officially gone live and is now available for public access online. Named TABNETDB, the platform represents a significant advancement in how health data is made available and utilized in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

With greater stability, improved performance, and a database-driven structure, TABNETDB is the result of a strategic collaboration between the SMS technical team and IplanRio, the city's technology agency. The tool is designed for tabulating and querying epidemiological, clinical, and administrative data, allowing anyone—from public managers to researchers, journalists, or citizens—to access updated and reliable information with just a few clicks.

“The launch of TABNETDB marks a new stage in public health data management. It is an essential resource for supporting technical decisions, generating evidence, and increasing the transparency of municipal administration,” says João Carabetta, president of IplanRio.

The solution had been highly anticipated by technical departments within the SMS and is now available at: http://tabnet.rio.rj.gov.br/
