The management and georeferencing platform is now more robust and secure

The SIURB platform (Urbanism Information System), managed by the Pereira Passos Institute and used by various Rio City Hall departments and agencies, has undergone a major migration to the IplanRio cloud. This change aims to ensure greater security, stability, and speed in accessing the tool's data and infrastructure.

SIURB is an essential platform for the city's urban management. It stores and provides a wide variety of georeferenced data, which is fundamental for various municipal agencies. The products and information available include: homeless population and Social Assistance data; information on reforestation and the Municipal Secretariat of the Environment (SMAC); elements of the city's Master Plan; and drainage and urban infrastructure data from Rio Águas, among others.

This tool is a self-service platform, allowing City Hall agencies to build customized solutions according to their needs, such as public policies and urban plans.

Since its creation in 2014, SIURB has been a crucial tool for city planning and management, used by various sectors such as urbanism, environment, and social assistance, among others. The platform's infrastructure is now managed by IplanRio, which assumes responsibility for the security and operation of the servers.

This migration not only improves the security and accessibility of georeferenced data but also reinforces IplanRio's commitment to providing efficient and secure IT solutions for public management.

It is worth noting that the platform's data is for internal use, restricted to City Hall managers, with access subject to authorization from the competent authorities.
