This week, in addition to Teacher's Day celebrations, teachers in the municipal school system received an update to the system that manages teacher transfers across the city's schools for the 2025 academic year. 

The Teacher Transfer system, part of the Escola 3.0 platform, is where teachers request a transfer to their preferred school. After being ranked based on specific criteria, they may be approved to work at their desired location. This year, we integrated and automated the registration and allocation stages, enabling automatic ranking and significantly speeding up the entire process. Before this innovation, the process was handled entirely manually by the Department's teams.

The system improvements went even further. We also launched the Transfer Portal, a tool that provides all information regarding the process, allowing registered teachers to track their points, application status, and ranking, while also ensuring transparency. Through this portal, in addition to tracking their requests, teachers can issue the documents needed to join a new school, creating a simpler environment so they can focus on their work. With this implementation, the entire process has saved hours of work for the Department's academic staff for every registered teacher, and the portal now provides teachers with a way to check the progress of their requests. 

The 2025 Transfer process began on the 14th (Monday) and has already received over 1300 requests so far, just three days into the registration period.
