The Rio City Hall launched the Oportunidades Cariocasplatform this past Thursday (05/21), an initiative that brings together professional training opportunities, job market access, and service provision options in a single digital environment. Developed by the Undersecretariat for Digital Transformation and Smart City and IplanRio, the solution represents another step forward in the digitalization of public services aimed at the city's economic and social development.
The new platform was unveiled at the Arena Carioca Fernando Torres, in Madureira, already offering, in this first phase, five thousand spots in qualification courses and 1,413 job opportunities in various fields. Access is entirely digital, using the Gov.br single sign-on, simplifying the citizen's journey from registration to tracking opportunities.
The project is structured around three main pillars: Training, Job Opportunities, and Service Provision. The goal is to offer an integrated experience, allowing citizens to find training courses, track their professional progress, and easily access the job market in one digital space.
In the training module, users can choose courses in different areas, including technology, entrepreneurship, tourism, robotics, artificial intelligence, graphic design, and digital inclusion. The platform also allows users to select locations closest to their homes and track their application status directly through the system. Upon completion, certificates are available directly on the platform.
A key highlight of the initiative is the planned use of Artificial Intelligence to assist in resume building and perform "smart matching" between candidates and job openings, connecting professional profiles to the most compatible opportunities. This functionality increases the potential for productive inclusion and strengthens the population's access to the job market.
The solution also plans to include, in the future, a space dedicated to independent service providers and small entrepreneurs, allowing companies to register and offer services directly on the platform. The initiative expands employment possibilities and strengthens the local economy through technology.
