Rio de Janeiro has surpassed the 1 million mark for flu vaccinations, with over 171,000 doses administered across more than 700 locations throughout the city during the latest D-Day of the national campaign. Behind the operation, IplanRio played a strategic role by providing the Vaccination Registration System (SRV), developed specifically to support the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) in large-scale initiatives like this one.
Designed to handle traffic spikes, the SRV enabled agile and decentralized registration of doses at all units, while also feeding real-time dashboards to monitor the campaign. Integrated with the Vaccine BI, the system facilitates comparisons with previous campaigns and grants the municipal administration autonomy, independent of the federal system.
The vaccination drive also included protection against measles and yellow fever, as well as routine immunization updates. IplanRio's involvement was essential for the SMS to expand access to immunization efficiently and with reliable data.
The national flu vaccination campaign aims to protect groups most vulnerable to respiratory complications. This year alone, the disease has already caused 14 deaths and 156 hospitalizations in the city. The use of public technology, such as the SRV, allows strategic decisions to be made with greater agility and based on real-time data.
With solutions like this, IplanRio reinforces its commitment to the well-being of the population, connecting innovation, care, and citizenship.
