IplanRio, in partnership with the Municipal Health Department (SMS), has delivered a new Business Intelligence (BI) solution for the Carioca Mental Health Electronic Health Record (PCSM).

The electronic health record, which already featured over 100 operational reports, now gains a powerful tool for monitoring mental health indicators. The solution was developed using an agile strategy, creating three MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) in 15-day development cycles. The first has already been delivered.

The expectation is that further cycles will be carried out to continue refining the insights into the business supported by the system. The manager described this as "the tip of the iceberg," signaling that many more indicators will follow as this evolution progresses, allowing the SMS to take a more strategic approach to mental health patients in Rio.

The PCSM BI consists of 16 metrics analyzed from 6 different perspectives, which can be combined to generate up to 96 distinct indicators.

Key data provided by the new BI includes the volume of group and individual consultations, broken down by sex, age group, race, and gender identity, as well as information on billing and consultations by health unit, type of service, and various timeframes (year, semester, month, and date).

With this new BI tool, IplanRio reinforces its commitment to technological innovation and improving services for the people of Rio, by facilitating the tracking of mental health consultations and providing more efficient and transparent management for the city of Rio de Janeiro.
