Municipal transparency has gained a new tool thanks to the joint efforts of IplanRio and the Municipal Secretariat of Integrity and Data Protection (SMIT).
The “Painel Diárias.Rio” is an enhancement to the transparency regarding travel expenses and per diems used by public servants representing the Rio City Hall. The goal is to promote transparency in the use of public funds allocated for per diems, allowing for an intuitive and easy way to verify the quantity, period, cost, location, and justification for public investment in staff travel, thereby encouraging social oversight and accountability.
The solution consists of a backend, where information is automatically retrieved from the SIAFIC system and then supplemented by municipal agencies, and a dashboard with indicators, which can be accessed at Transparência.Rio, then under “Servidor Municipal” and subsequently “Diárias“.
The implementation of the Painel Diárias.Rio was led by IplanRio, in partnership with SMIT, and monitored by the Undersecretariat for Coordination, Monitoring, and Digital Transformation of the Civil House (CVL/SUBAD). The project began in September 2023, with an initial version released in December 2023, and this updated version delivered in July 2024.
This is one of the initiatives through which IplanRio has been strategically supporting SMIT in its pursuit of the Diamond Seal, the highest level of transparency according to the criteria of ATRICON, the Association of Members of Brazilian Audit Courts, on the Public Transparency Radar.
The Diamond Seal is the highest level of transparency according to ATRICON criteria.
