In 2024, the integration of the Ruas.Rio and Legislação Bairro a Bairro (LBB) systems marked another major step forward in the modernization of urban management in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Carried out by IplanRio, in partnership with the Municipal Secretariat of Urban and Economic Development (SMDUE), the project consolidated urban and territorial data into a single platform: Consultas Urbanas.
This integration aims to optimize access to and consultation of urban information for both municipal technicians and the general public. LBB – Legislação Bairro a Bairro was already an essential tool for consulting legislation applied to different regions of the city, while Ruas.Rio stands out for its historical and official registry of public thoroughfares, and BuscaFácil simplifies access to urban planning regulations. Combining these solutions has resulted in an integrated environment that merges geographic and alphanumeric data, allowing information to be viewed directly on the city map.
User Benefits
The project, developed by IplanRio, delivers significant benefits to both internal and external audiences, including:
- Simplified Access: Information consolidated into a single consultation environment, available to technicians from SMDUE and other secretariats, as well as citizens and industry professionals.
- Optimized Routines: Reduced time required for data search and analysis.
- Geographic Visualization: Availability of street data with georeferencing on the city map.
With this modernization, the Rio de Janeiro City Hall reaffirms its commitment to digital transformation, promoting greater efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in the services offered to the public. The partnership between IplanRio and the Municipal Secretariat of Urban and Economic Development demonstrates how the strategic use of technology can improve public management and facilitate the daily lives of everyone involved.
