With a 25-year career at the Rio de Janeiro City Hall, including 13 years dedicated to IplanRio, Weslley Cunha do Nascimento has built extensive experience in information technology across various strategic fronts. Before joining the public sector, he worked as a software developer and IT consultant, specializing in ERP project implementations.

Throughout his career, he has worked at organizations such as Comlurb and the Municipal Olympic Company, taking on roles ranging from systems development to team management and technology procurement. At IplanRio, he served as a Systems Analyst and Coordinator, and led technology acquisition processes before being appointed Director. He holds a strong academic background, including a postgraduate degree in Software Project Management from PUC, as well as PMP, ITIL, and COBIT certifications.

Today, as head of the Systems Directorate, Weslley’s vision is to expand IplanRio’s role in the digital transformation of the city of Rio de Janeiro. His focus is on implementing innovative solutions based on Artificial Intelligence and scaling this model to other cities across Brazil, reinforcing the strategic role of technology in public administration.
